There are many "faux" candles on the market. Choosing one can be difficult. I gave this exact candle to my parents for a gift a year ago - and they use it every night. It is EXTREMELY REALISTIC looking. The wax appears to be real, and the "flicker" is virtually indistinguishable from a real candle. Also, they have not had to change the batteries since they received it last Christmas. It was also much less expensive than similar items I viewed on HSN or QVC. The same beautiful glow of a candle, without the mess of melted wax or the danger of a flame. Love It!
